About Great Africa
Approaching twenty years of exploration on the African continent – leading expeditions from coast to coast, north to south and east to west – American Anthropologist and modern day explorer Julian Monroe Fisher decided to set out upon a journey retracing the overland routes of the Victorian age explorers across Africa.
The expedition will have him retracing the African expeditionary routes of the famed Victorian explorers including Baker, de Brazza, Speke, Grant, Burton, Baumann, Wissman, Livingstone and Stanley.
That’s a wrap!
In the last 24 hours Charley Fisher and I have travelled from the tropical lush of Entebbe, to the blistering desert sands of Doha, and into a snowstorm in DC.
Today Charley Fisher and I travelled out onto Lake Victoria to the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary to visit with some of our closest primate relatives.
